Strategy
Greatness is not accidental. And just like anything that is worthwhile,
it is never easy to achieve. Different end goals certainly require different considerations,
but every road to success is paved with the same basic stuff.
Who, What, Where, When, Why and How.
Remember that clever string of interrogatives most people learned about in first grade?
Notice that “how” is at the end? It’s a paradox, actually. Before a solution can
be prescribed for the last, the initial five must first be worked over like a hill hiding
gold in the Colorado Rockies. And the objective isn’t as simple a single clump of shiny
metal at the center of a knoll. Rather, multiple and varied resources and avenues must
be thoroughly considered in order to extract an elusive and often dispersed target.
Ask the question, then put the first things first.
It’s a perspective that works.
